PDVoice Buddy isn't in the Play Store yet, so installing it takes a few extra taps — and Android will try to stop you three times along the way. None of the warnings mean anything is wrong; they appear for every app that doesn't come from the store. First, when you download the file, your browser may say the file "can't be scanned" or "may be harmful" — choose Download anyway. Second, when you open the downloaded file, Android may say your browser isn't allowed to install apps; tap Settings on that message, switch on "Allow from this source", and press Back. Third, just before it installs, you may see a screen about an "unsafe app" or "unknown developer" — tap "Install anyway" or "More details" and then Install. Once it's installed, open PDVoice Buddy and allow the microphone when asked — without that, the light can't work. A glowing dot fills the screen, and after a second or two it's listening. Just talk and watch the dot: bright means your voice is carrying, dim means speak up.
Step-By-Step

If You Get Stuck...
"There's no Download anyway option"
Pull down the notification shade and tap the download notification, or open Files > Downloads and tap the file there.
"It says the app wasn't installed"
Usually an older copy is already on the device. Uninstall PDVoice Buddy first, then install again.
"It says the file is corrupt or can't be opened"
The download didn't finish. Delete it from Downloads and try again on
Wi-Fi.
"I can't find Allow from this source"
Settings > Apps > Special app access > Install unknown apps > pick the browser you downloaded with > switch it on.
"Play Protect won't let me"
Tap "More details" first — the Install anyway option is hidden until you do. If it's genuinely absent, Play Store > tap your profile picture >
Play Protect > gear icon > turn off scanning, install, then turn it back on.
