My koinobori are laser etched and cut in basswood, in pairs.
The pair are glued together with silk string sandwiched between the pieces, giving the koi movement. Each koinobori is hand painted with colorfast, high-quality gauche paints, and then sealed with an oil-based all-weather sealer.
