Living with Parkinson's doesn't make you it's bitch. There are plenty of things those with PD and their care partners can do for themselves and the community. So far, we've been concentrating on doing the hard work on our homefront. Jeff works hard every day to stay strong and healthy - swimming, playing drums as hard and fast as any punk out there, yoga - and he still manages to make all my dreams come true.
All his hard work has made me realize I can do more than just take a little of the load off him. It's time to step it up a notch.
So this year, I am participating in the Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) Fox Trot 5K Run/Walk for Parkinson's Research.
More than 6 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) — a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. As the world’s largest nonprofit funder of PD research, MJFF is working to change this.
MJFF is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
Your gift will make a real difference: 100 percent of Fox Trot for Parkinson's Research proceeds will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research programs.
